Description of the park
Introduction
The Science and Technology Park TITC, a.s. is a science and technology park and business incubator focused on supporting innovative entrepreneurship, the development of technology-oriented companies, and the promotion of technology transfer between the research sector and practical application.
The park operates within the technological and academic environment of the city of Brno and forms part of the regional innovation infrastructure composed of research organizations, universities, innovation institutions, and technology companies.
The current operator of the park is TITC, a.s., which was established on 29 December 2025 as part of the reorganization of VTP Brno, a.s. The latter had long been responsible at this location for developing the infrastructure of the science and technology park and supporting innovation activities. TITC, a.s. continues these activities and ensures the further operation and development of the park.
The mission of the science and technology park is to create suitable conditions for the establishment and growth of technology-oriented enterprises, to support cooperation between companies and research organizations, and to facilitate the practical application of research and development results.
As part of its activities, the park provides business infrastructure, professional and advisory services, and creates an environment that encourages cooperation between companies, academia, and other partners in the field of innovation. The park also supports early-stage technology companies through its business incubator and provides advisory services in technology transfer, project preparation and implementation, and the development of innovation-driven entrepreneurship.
The objective of the science and technology park is to contribute to the development of the knowledge-based economy in the region and to support the use of research and development results in business practice.Description of technology transfer
The TITC Science and Technology Park, a.s. actively supports technology transfer by linking research results with business practice, particularly with companies located directly in the park or using its services. This process includes professional advisory services in technology commercialization, assistance in project management, and facilitation of collaboration between research institutions and technology companies.
Examples of Technology Transfer:
OHB Czechspace s.r.o.
The company leads the SOVA mission, aiming to develop the largest Czech satellite since 1996 (following Magion 5). The SOVA mission transfers scientific research outcomes into practical technological applications, particularly in measuring atmospheric processes and monitoring the radiation environment for future manned missions. The project is conducted in cooperation with the Institute of Atmospheric Physics, Czech Academy of Sciences, and German institutions DLR and Forschungszentrum Jülich.Through this mission, scientific knowledge is transformed into technologies that allow Czech companies to gain experience in developing space instruments, testing sensors, and integrating complex systems, thereby enhancing their innovation capacity and competitiveness. The company also participates in European space programs in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA) and other institutions, including Hera, PLATO, and CO2M, contributing technology and subsystems.
