Description of the park
Introduction
The Science and Technology Park of Palacky University in Olomouc (VTP UP) provides office and facility leases, consulting services and the use of the equipment and know-how of Palacky University with favourable terms. Through the Business Incubator we help start-up entrepreneurs in starting a business with a unique idea and plan. VTP UP is focused on providing financial, patent and grant advice and implementation of innovations at companies. VTP UP has been a bridge between the scientific and business world since 2000.
VTP UP is a self-sustaining economic unit of Palacky University in Olomouc. It directly benefits from the facilities and know-how of the University and passes these benefits onto its clients.
Thanks to its focus, VTP UP is an important regional partner for the Olomouc region, and the city of Olomouc.Description of technology transfer

Innovative needles for a unique treatment method designed to rehabilitate patients with nerve diseases. The method is based on the principle of electroacupuncture. The developed needles are more effective than existing ones, provide greater comfort for patients and have a lower risk of unwanted withdrawal. The technology was created with the support of the TA ČR GAMA 2 (Proof of Concept) project.
Transfer: spin-off companyMössbauer spectrometers
Highly specialized instruments for the physico-chemical analysis of iron-containing materials. Mössbauer spectrometers developed and manufactured at Palacký University in Olomouc allow their users to determine very precisely the overall and local magnetic behavior of the studied material. The results from Mössbauer spectroscopy provide information about the surroundings of the studied iron atoms. By interpreting spectra and so-called hyperfine parameters, it is possible to determine the valence and oxidation state, spin and magnetic arrangement of iron atoms and the materials in which these atoms are contained.
Transfer: providing license for set of know-how and intellectual property related to the design and construction of Mössbauer spectrometers to a newly formed employee spin-off company.TestBal
SW for fast processing and subsequent visualization of sports diagnostic data, focused mainly on monitoring athletes, identifying sports talents and predicting sports dispositions of children and adolescents. The system enables immediate evaluation of sports diagnostic data using the know-how of the Palacký University in Olomouc. The results are then clearly visualized in the web application.
Transfer: Own use for commercial sports diagnostic measurements. In addition, we established cooperation with a training log app, which is run by a private company, and which implemented a module for our data into this log. Clients of this diary can therefore easily use it to manage measurements from UP Olomouc.Innovative entrepreneurship training
