As part of the ESA Innovation Partner project, the TC CAS supports the transfer of knowledge and technology from the European Space Agency (ESA) space programs to industry, but also from companies or universities working with space technologies to other industrial areas outside this sector.
Companies can also use the international database of the Enterprise Europe Network to establish new business partnerships or launch technological or research collaborations.

The department ORP primarily focuses on the universal support of the development of business, innovation, and international competitiveness of Czech companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises. The Business Support Department’s primary focus:
SUPPORT OF INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGY AND RESEARCH COLLABORATION AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER
The department team coordinates the provision of the international Enterprise Europe Network service in the Czech Republic. With

The department monitors a wide offering of consulting in the field of grant programmes at the national and European levels as well as other opportunities to finance the development and innovations in companies. Based on the analysis of the needs they identify suitable sources of financing for the client companies, as mentors they can appropriately define the project intention, and they guide the companies through the process of preparing the project application.ANALYSIS OF THE COMPANIES’ INNOVATION POTENTIAL
By means of the structured interview, the department evaluates the innovation capacities and potential of the client company, identifies their innovation opportunities, and designs steps leading to the better management of innovations within the company. The Business Support mentors assist company owners and directors to view the company from a different perspective, taking a necessary distance and a detached view, and they create space to formulate or revise the company’s strategy.‘SCALE-UP YOUR BUSINESS’ MENTORING PROGRAMME
The mentoring programme is designed for young and technology-oriented innovative companies with ambitions to grow internationally. Innovation infrastructure
Acceleration Program „Business Runway“
Within the BusinessRunway acceleration program the Technology Centre CAS supports start-up innovative companies in the capital city of Prague. The companies have access to the premises in the TC CAS building with full technical facilities (equipped offices, IT infrastructure, office supplies, conference centre facilities, etc.) and management services.
The first incubated company was Space Systems Czech (today Huld), a sister company of Space Systems Finland, engaged in software development in critical applications (space applications, automotive and aerospace, healthcare, etc.). Participation in the acceleration program enabled the company to grow from zero to fifteen employees in four years and increase its annual turnover to almost 900,000 EUR. „During the program I especially appreciate that the company was able to use a well-prepared background and thus start operating within a few days. The biggest benefit for us was the opportunity to be based in the TC CAS building in Prague and benefit from the knowledge of the experienced team. The number of professional seminars we had the opportunity to participate in enabled the continuous development of employees and the gathering of important contacts,“ says Daniel Štefl, co-founder and director of Space Systems Czech, about participating in the program.
Stratosyst s.r.o. remains in the program. This Czech company develops HAPS (High-Altitude Pseudo-Satellite) technology for use in astronomical space observation.
